Non-profit environmental organization Go Green Wilmette is having its annual free, family-friendly environmental fair called Going Green Matters on Sunday, March 8th from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the beautiful Michigan Shores Club, located at 911 Michigan Avenue, Wilmette.
The event draws more than 1,400 participants from twenty communities. The fair’s theme this year is “Trees: Back To Our Roots” and will feature many exhibits explaining the importance of trees.
In addition, you’ll find over 100+ booths with useful information on recycling, saving energy, green transportation choices, green landscaping, growing your own food and more. There will be fun children’s activities also.
