Looking for ways for you and your family to live sustainably? We invite you to attend the 10th annual Going Green Matter Environmental Fair on Sunday, March 13 from noon to 5:00 p.m. at Michigan Shores Club, 911 Michigan Avenue in Wilmette. Organized by non-profit organization Go Green Wilmette, this admission-free event drew more than a thousand attendees last year. This year’s theme is “Sustainable Suburbs”. You’ll find futuristic hybrid/electric cars and cool bicycles on display, information about edible gardens and green landscaping, saving energy at home, green home design, recycling tips and more. The interactive Eco-Zone promises fun activities for children and adults alike, and the Go Green Cafe offers delicious refreshments. Attendees will receive one free LED lightbulb per household, while supplies last. Free recycling will be offered at nearby Gillson Park Beach Parking Lot on the day of the event.
Nature’s Perspective has always been a proud supporter of Going Green Matters since it began in 2007. Stop by our table for green landscaping tips and a chance to win a gorgeous witch hazel! We look forward to seeing you there.
